Rev. Albert Morgan, 93, of Gadsden went to be with the Lord Friday, April 5, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. James O. Wallace and Rev. David Carroll officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Bro. Morgan served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Republic Steel after 35 years of service and preached the word of God for 70 years.
Bro. Morgan was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kenny Christian, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mamie Morgan; daughters, Sheila Christian and Beverly (George) Skinner; grandchildren, Shane (Laura) Cornutt; Kathy (David) Hayes and Brandon (Kasey) Cornutt; 8 great grandchildren; 1 half sisters; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Junior Hudson; Gene Mayes; Bob Cline and grandsons, Shane Cornutt; Brandon Cornutt and David Hayes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff with Amedysis Hospice and all who offered assistance to our family in any way.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
