Graveside Service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Rev. Roger Graham will officiate; Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct service.

Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing. She also enjoyed cooking and doing most any craft. She crocheted blankets for many babies of friends and her church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Smith; daughter Christina “Chris” Hammonds and her husband Wayne Hammonds; daughter Tammie George and her husband Greg George; daughter Stacy Smith and her fiancée Jason Vaughn; Grandchildren Haven Seale, Lindsey Arnold, Hunter Smith, Eoin Hammonds, Raeleigh George, Erin George, Anna, and Abbie Vaughn; great grandchildren Jordi Gallahar, and Bentley Gallahar; her sister Janice Wiley; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Lola Cain; brothers Rufus and Darrell Cain; and sister Janet Haynes.

Members of her church family, as well as her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorials be made to the Bellevue Baptist Bereavement Fund.

The family would like to acknowledge with their appreciation the nurses and staff at UAB Hospital, Encompass Hospice, and Riverview Regional Medical Center, and countless friends.
