Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Black Creek Baptist Church for Phyllis Ann Fox, age 51, of Gadsden, who went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 20, 2011. Rev. Jonathan Powell and Rev. Charles Beshears will officiate with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Phyllis was a Christian and member of Black Creek Baptist Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Collinsville High School and later graduated from Gadsden Business College. She was a very wonderful and loving mother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Clifford Fox, Sr.; and grandparents, Bill and Della Ruth Fox and Margaret Carson Thomas.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Pete Nichols; mother, Wanda Carson Fox; brother, George Clifford (Anna) Fox, Jr.; sisters, Terry (Eddie) Williams, Donna Fox Miller and Janet Fox Formby; special friend, David Nichols; many nieces and nephews; as well as great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; also special pet “Bullet”
Pallbearers will be Justin Miller, Jake Miller, Larry Bolin, Cody Hooper , Heath Hood and Tim Johnson.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the SICU at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
