Mildred Howse Sutton

She was born July 8, 1923, in Cullman, AL, to Lawrence Daniel Howse and Vallie Mae Cabe Howse. She was a seamstress and homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Marvin) Lloyd of Roanoke, VA, and Linda (Wayne) Till of Petaluma, CA; five grandchildren, Jenny Nunn (Kelvin) of Huntsville, Todd Lloyd (Lois) of Roanoke, VA, Mark Lloyd (Denise) of Roanoke, VA, Sally Till of Scotland, and Vallie Boike Petta of Gadsden; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Lawrence "LP" Howse of Michigan; sister, Kay Howse Moore of Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kinney Sutton; daughter, Joan Cosper; three sisters and three brothers.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 24, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Marvin Lloyd officiating. Interment will be at Duck River Baptist Church Cemetery, Cullman, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

The family wishes to thank friends and family for their care and concern during her illness. Special thanks to caregivers, Barbara, Lou, LaToya, Cindy, Adam, Susie and Dana.
