Mary Moon

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mary Lorene Moon, 81, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, September 23, 2013. Rev. George Lankford will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Moon was a member of Lookout Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in establishing the Lookout Mountain Nutrition Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walter Vernon Moon.

She is survived by her children: Danny Vernon Moon, and Valinda (Jerry) Stewart; grandchildren: Kristopher Shane (Betty Ann) Moon, Brandy Laufler, Kasara Moon, Sumer ((Steven) Chestnut, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Williams; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary was loved by all who knew her and ate her fried chicken.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
