A memorial service for Marjorie Perry Hall, 89, of North Gadsden will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 4, 2019, at James Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
Marjorie was born in Alabama City but lived in North Gadsden since childhood. She attended Jacksonville State University before marrying Joe T. Hall in 1949. She was the loving mother of Terry Hall, Thoma Schooling (Carl), Susan Michalik (Rick), and Tim Hall (Carla). She was the grandmother of eight [Matthew Hall (Christy), Amelia Beeler (Daniel), Valerie Brantley (Ed), Joel Schooling, Jana Michalik, Rachel Michalik, Nathan Michalik, Melodie Hall] and great-grandmother of five (Laine Hall, Ben Hall, Houston Beeler, Lydia Durant, Donovan Brantley). She is survived by brothers Garry Perry (Betty), Jerry Perry (Patsy) and sister Donna Johnson (Terry).
Marjorie was the devoted pianist and organist of James Memorial for 74 years and played for innumerable weddings, funerals, and graduations in the community. She enjoyed teaching piano to hundreds of students in her lifetime. She loved flowers, plants, and birds, and enjoyed painting flowers. Marjorie was also a talented seamstress.
She was loved by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed. She may have lost her battle with cancer, but she gained her reward in heaven.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice nurses Lacey and Brittany.
