Funeral services for Marion Warren Wheeler age 94 of Rainbow City will be held on Friday, December 27th, 2019 at 2pm at Collier Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.

Warren Wheeler passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019. Warren was born on October 5, 1925 in Baxter, Tennessee to the late Bob and Ina Wheeler. Warren was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during World War II where he received a purple heart due to injuries sustained during the Battle of the Bulge. After his military service, Warren worked for the United States Post Office from which he retired. Warren enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, watching all types of sports, traveling, and working in his garden.
In addition to his parents, he was widowed with the passing of his first wife, Marie Wheeler and second wife, Mary Wheeler. Warren was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, his niece Lana Manderson Garner, and his nephew Tim Michael. Warren is survived by his wife, Joyce Wheeler (who states it was the best ten years of her life), Mrs. Wheeler’s extended family, his great-nephew, Chris Garner (Lynn), great-niece Brooke Michael Bell, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family
