Lois Elaine Johnson, known by all of her babies as nanny, passed away on August 20th, 2024. She was 79 years old. She was born to Essie and Bethel Barksdale on October 19th, 1944. She was a Beacon of light and warmth to all she early loved.
Lois was a beloved wife to Marcus Johnson, a loving mother to Kimberly (Micheal) Floyd and Timothy (The late Susan) Shelton. Lois was a cherished sister to Wanda (Dale) Stratford, the late Ethel Collins, the late Bobbie (Herston) Gladden, and the late David Barksdale.
Lois was "Nanny" to five grandchildren: Skyy, Shanna, Koty, Gracie,and Destiny. 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great grandson. She was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was a beautiful soul and loved her family fiercely. She was always full of laughs, hugs, and love. She will be greatly missed.
