Lois Edmondson Bagley

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 11:00 - 12:00 at Collier Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, Alabama 35901, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Ashley and son-in-law, Pastor Toby Carnes officiating.

Lois was born on September 27, 1929 in Eastover, South Carolina to the late Charlie and Annie Edmondson. Later in her childhood, the family moved to Gadsden, AL.

She is survived by her five children, Beverly Bagley, Linda Barrett-Vaughan (Rick), Tim Bagley (Donna), Ann Wooten (Jim), Mindi Carnes (Toby); grandchildren, Tiffany Gibbs (Neal), Gabe Barrett, Casey Partain (Scott), Jenna Riddlespur (Will), Sarah McArthur (Jeremy), Dawn Bunt (Shane), April Barnard (Randall), Chad Bankston, Luke Carnes, Owen Carnes; great grandchildren, Sophie and Arleigh Gibbs, Malone and Foster Partain, Mackenzie Bagley, Carson and Berkley Riddlespur, Caleb and Caiden McArthur, Abi and Gracyn Bunt, Spencer Barnard (Savanna), Isaac Barnard, Krimson and Alyssa Bankston; great-great grandchild, Laken Bagley; brother, Alan Edmondson.

In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard Bagley; son-in-law, Phil Barrett; grandson, Baby Boy Barrett; Nicole Bankston (wife of chad); 5 siblings.

She was one of the first Kindergarten teachers at East Gadsden Baptist Church, She retired from the Gadsden City School System. After retirement she continued working with children at Meadowbrook Weekday Education and Mustard Seed Academy. She was a devout Christian and loved sharing the stories of Jesus, especially with children, through Sunday School, VBS and nursery care.

One of her greatest joys was cooking for family, every Sunday and giving to others with a Servant's Heart.

Pallbearers will be Gabe Barrett, Carson Riddlespur, Spencer Barnard, Isaac Barnard, Caiden McArthur and Caleb McArthur.

Honorary Pallbearers; Luke Carnes, Owen Carnes, Shane Bunt, Scott Partain, Jeremy McArthur, Randall Barnard, Will Riddlespur, Toby Carnes, Chad Bankston and Neil Gibbs.
