Funeral services will be today at 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel for Lillian Addison, 93, of Gadsden, who passed into eternal rest on Thursday, December 30, 2010. Rev. Dr. Scott Hassel and Bro. Russell Amos will officiate with burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Lillian was born October 23, 1917 in Birmingham, Alabama to William and Theodosia Enloe. Living most of her adult life in Gadsden, she remained here until her passing. She was a member of Walnut Park Community Church; an humble Christian lady full of grace and dignity; a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother with a heart of gold, always seeing the best in everyone.
Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband, F.M. Addison; parents, W.J. and Theodosia Enloe; sister, Theo Huff; and brother, Joe Enloe.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Jack Addison; two daughters, Janice (Eddie) Entrekin and Peggy (Henry) Greene; five grandchildren, Brad (Lisa) Addison, Donna (Pete) Williams, Todd (Karen) Entrekin, Scott (Karen) Greene and Craig Greene; ten great grandchildren, Clay Addison, Matthew and Andrew Williams, Jacob and Mallori Entrekin, Colee Tucker, Jeremy Greene, Jessica (Scott) Cornelison, Christa Greene and Nicholas Greene; brother, Billy Enloe; sisters-in-law, Joyce Garret, Wilma Addison; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Minshew, Jacob Entrekin, Brad Addison, Scott Greene, Craig Greene and Todd Entrekin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Walnut Park Community Church, Becky Dennis and Brother Jimmy Bailey.
Special thanks to caregivers Pat, Lisa, Stacy and Jennifer from Southern Care Hospice and all the wonderful caregivers from McGuffey Healthcare, especially Shatika and April.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be referred to Walnut Park Community Church.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel.
