Lawton Eugene Morris

Mr. Lawton Eugene Morris, age 63, of Piedmont, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 04, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 08, 2024 at 12:30pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Rodney Gilmore will officiate. Burial will follow at Young’s Chapel Church Cemetery.

Lawton attended Hokes Bluff High School. He enjoyed time with friends and was a community regular during his golf cart travels throughout the Ballplay-Hokes Bluff area. He was a member of Covenant Christian Church and was actively involved with church activities. Lawton was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Cleavie Morris; and sister, Tammy Morris.

Survivors include his brothers, Homer (Karen) Morris and Noble (Teri) Morris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Colton Morris, Matt Pope, David Hammond, Ronny Young, Joe Plummer, George Dalton, Dayton Schrimsher and Joe Nix.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Young’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.

The family will accept friends for visitation Thursday, February 08, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
