Funeral services will be Thursday March 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel for Larry ”Brother” B. Gilbreath, 71, of Gadsden, who passed away on Monday March 19, 2012. Rev. Frank Samuels officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Gilbreath was a Captain of the Rainbow City Police Department and Retired in 1993 after 17 years of service. He was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church and was recently affiliated with College Heights Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Aubie and Arnette Gilbreath and his former wife Georgia Gilbreath.
Larry is survived by his sister Shelia “Sister” Gilbreath Yarbrough; Aunts Shirley Davis and Jean Jones, and many cousins.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Allen, Blinky Allen, Ben Irby, Gerald Roden, Roger Highfill and Gary Atkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Rainbow City Police Department.

Visitation will be Thursday March 22, 2012 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to College Heights Baptist Church.
