Kevin Tyler "Ty" Pruett

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Kevin Tyler “Ty” Pruett, age 39, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. Rev. Gary Burns will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services announcing.

Ty graduated from Southside High School in 1996 and attended Gadsden State Community College. He enjoyed music, the Atlanta Braves, Alabama football and drumming without drums.

Ty is survived by his son, Preston Pruett; Preston’s mother, Julie Nelson; mother, Donna McKenney (Charlie) Piez; father, Stan (Christy) Pruett; sister, Jeri Pruett (George) Weatherly; niece, Lucy; nephew, Sam; grandmothers, Jo McKenney and Betty Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center of Hope, 2906 Bynum Leatherwood Rd, Anniston, AL 36201; or Rainbow Omega 100 Hope Dr., Eastaboga, AL 36260.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
