Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Kenneth Larry Cunningham, 64 of Southside, who passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. Rev. Lauil Thompson and Rev. Bob Thornton will officiate the funeral services, with Rev. Bill Drummons officiating the graveside service at Williams-Southside Memorial Park. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Ken was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going to car shows, hanging out by the river and being with all of his friends. He was employed by A&G Fence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Cunningham; mother, Mary Lou Cunningham; brothers, Hoyt Stephens, and Junior Stephens; and sister, Iva Lee Blackwood.
He is survived by his son, Scott (Rachel) Cunningham; grandson, Slayde of Southside; sisters, Ruth Morgan of Rainbow City, Martha Frisby of Gadsden, Kate Barnett of Rainbow City; a host of nieces and nephews; stepdaughter, Buffy (Scott) Roberson; step-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Connor; special companion, Lorraine Tooker; and special canine companion, Max.
Pallbearers will be Wendall Vinson, Mark Yancey, Randy Maroney, Lynn Coker, John Hatley, and Ray Ramage.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gaylon Pierce, Will Ramage, Judd Whitten, David Nolen, Thomas Hughes, Jimmy Abernathy, and Marlin Bullard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
