Kelly Ann King Motes, 56, of Ohatchee, AL passed away peacefully to be with the Lord Thursday, December 28, 2023. A celebration of life will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4-6 pm.
Kelly was a native and longtime resident of Gadsden. She was a graduate of Southside High School and later graduated from Jacksonville State University where she earned her accounting degree. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and the Day-Guyton-Hill Life Group. Kelly enjoyed her church group and her work and co-workers as an accountant at Quality of Life. She was also very artistic and loved crafting and painting.
Waiting to welcome her was her father, William Bruce King .who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Carolyn Ann King,; daughter, Brittany (David) Jester; son, Scotty Motes; grandchildren, Madelyn Cofield, Miles Smith, and Dax Jester; sister, Kim King Smith; nephews Christian, Joshua, and Samuel Smith; aunt Denise (Scott) Watford; uncle Phillip Reedy (Lissa) Thacker; and numerous cousins.
The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff with ProHealth Home Health and Hospice group. Heartfelt gratitude and thanks go to Frank Marsh for his tender love and care, and to Charlie Jones with Air Med for airlifting Kelly and Brittany home from M. D. Anderson in Houston, TX.
