Kelli Marie Humphries-Jemison, aged 50, passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2025 at Riverview Medical Center after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born September 23, 1974 to Larry and Paula Humphries and was a lifelong resident of the Gadsden area.
As a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife and friend, Kelli always put others before herself. She loved children and she loved animals. She was a true giver.
Kelli was quiet and shy but full of life and happiness. With a beautiful smile and infections laugh, she could make anyone feel at ease. She loved to watch sports of any kind and could always be found in front of the TV on Saturdays watching college football - especially Auburn – and would poke fun at anyone rooting for the opposing team. She loved the beach, the swimming pool, music of any kind, line-dancing, going to concerts and birthday parties and was happiest when she was do something with family and friends.
Kelli knew the Lord and was saved in May of 2010 in Destin, FL and attended several churches in the community.
Kelli is preceded in death by her father, Larry Humphries and grandfather, Fred “Pete” Tolbert.
She is survived by her husband, Bayou Jemison of 30 years; her son Shawn Hutt (Brittany); her step-children Morgan Jemison and Nathan Jemison; an older brother Shane Humphries (Nikki), an older sister Cindy Davidson, a half-sister Lisa Humphries; 3 grandchildren: Jaden Hutt, Branson Campbell, and Bryson Campbell; her mother and best friend Paula Humphries; step-mother Brenda Humphries; grandmother Billie Tolbert and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
