Growing up in a neighborhood with wonderful and caring Christian people like Dude and Fannie was a blessing to me.
One of the most treasured possessions a loved one leaves is a heart full of loving memories.

Mrs Herring, Julia, Laura, Cary and David Mr Herring was a great influence and example to all us kids on Windsor Street , in East Gadsden. We are all better for having known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The entire Herring family has meant the world to the Ford family.  Mr and Mrs Herring have been such a wonderful part of my life.  The years they devoted to young people at Calvary were the reason so many of us became Christians and love Christ today.  Thank you for sharing your Mom and Dad with all of the East Gadsden children that grew up around them.  I loved them dearly and am so sad about your Dad's leaving you now but so happy to know what a grand reunion he is having today. Love and blessings to all of you. Please give Fannie a special hug from me.  I love her dearly.

Lana just called and said Sain called her and told her about J.W. passing. She was at work. I was sorry to hear that. Lana and I will be at the Funeral home tomorrow Jan 9th. If there is anything thing I can do, please let me know.I still remember him laughing when I asked him if he wanted to dance.
