Juanita C. Harris

.Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday-December 3, 2010 at Collier- Butler Chapel for Mrs. Juanita C. Harris, age 85 of Glencoe who died Tuesday-November 30, 2010. Rev. Darrell Brown will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Juanita Harris went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on November 30, 2010. Born April 15, 1925 to Brady and Mattie Lou (Mount) Conner. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School and Holy Name of Jesus Hospital School of Nursing. She retired after many years at Baptist Memorial Hospital as head nurse on pediatrics. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Albert Jack Harris, parents, Brady and Mattie Lou Conner, siblings, Ralph Conner, Leonard Conner, Horace Conner, William Eugene Conner, Ola June “Pretty” Conner and Wilma Jean Conner .

She is survived by her daughters, Sue (Dayton) Vann, Mary (Harry) Parker, four step children, Cindy (Robert) Schaffer, Ronnie Harris, Bobby Harris and Bill Harris, grandchildren, Drew (Susan) Hebson, Adam (Pamela) Vann, Lesley Hebson and Sarah Harris and great grandchild, Addison Kate Vann.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Baptist Children’s Home.

Special thanks is extended to New Beacon Hospice Staff and Volunteers, Staff of Gadsden Health Care 500 Hall, mother’s caregivers through the years, Martha, Mrs. Earnestine, Ms. Elaine and Wilma who stayed with us so much, Karen Harris who helped guide us through this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home
