Josie Dean Myrick

Funeral services will be at 6:00pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church for Josie Dean Myrick of Southside, who passed away November 11, 2015. Rev. Lauil Thompson and Rev. Bill Drummons will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Southside, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Myrick was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She attended Southside High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Myrick was preceded in death by her son, Gary Goodwin Myrick; parents, Tom and Lula Gore; brothers, Kermit Gore, Lawrence Gore, Bernard Gore; and sisters, Lou Henderson and Betty Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Frank) Thomas, Deborah (Russell) Prince, and Donna (Tony) Haynes; son, Greg Myrick; grandchildren, Leigh (Shane) Pene, Scott (Tammy) Prince, James (Kendall) Thomas, Julie (Lane) Wilson, Cody Haynes, Karly Haynes, Tonia Hargett, Ben Myrick, and Jac Myrick; brother, Rodney (Ann) Gore; sister-in-law, Nita Myrick; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.

The family will accept friends from 3:30 -6:00 pm at Southside Baptist Church prior to the service.
