John W. Turner

Funeral services for Mr. John W. Turner, of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Wellspring Church of God. The Rev. Donnie Radar will officiate with Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. Turner passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home.

He was married to Joyce Marie Turner on June 17, 1950. John worked for Alabama Power Company for 42 years. He was a member of Wellspring Church of God, and had a passion for God, tractors, and family.

Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Turner.

He is survived by his daughter, Cathy (Roger) King; son, Rick (Tanya) Turner; grandchildren, Ryan (Renee) King, Tiffany (Trent) Inman, Josiah King, and a soon-to-be great-grandchild, Kaiden Inman; and his brothers and sisters, Sybil Franklin, Marie McGinnis, H.D. Turner, Dean Gerrard, and Jimmy Turner.

The Turner family wishes to extend a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice, Chaplin David, Kim Carpenter, Brandi, Skylar, Brittany, and Teia.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until time of services.
