John W.L. Makary

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. John “W.L.” Makary, precious husband, dad and granddad, Gadsden who passed away Sunday-November 21, 2010. Rev. Bruce Word will officiate with burial at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mr. Makary was a native of Rhode Island and a resident of Gadsden since 1978. He attended Crosspoint Community Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Makary.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Whitlock Makary, daughters, Karen (Eddie) Cline, Tammy (James) Via, Rachelle (Marty) Moon, Dawn (Kevin) Jenne’, Debi (Tracy) Huffman and, step son, William James Halsey, grandchildren, Jake and Justin Hollingsworth, Trey and Jessica Cline, Mia and Seth Jenne’ and Ella Thrower, mother, Irene Makary, sister, Barbara Jean Rodriguez, brothers, James Kenneth Makary and B.J. (Debbie) Makary, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, ex wife and mother of Rachelle, Dawn and Debi, Paulette Makary.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Jenne’, Marty Moon, Ric Mallardi, Eddie Cline, Scottie Cline, Gene Devoll and Donald Hollingsworth.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
