John Morgan Harrell, 89, Dothan Al, died, Thursday, February 11, 2022, at his son’s home in Gadsden. Morgan was born in Colquitt, GA on December 3, 1932, to Tom and Elizabeth Sheffield Harrell. He is a graduate of Miller County High School 1949. After he graduated, he enlisted in The United States Army where he served for one year. He returned home to work at the family farm and marry his high school sweetheart Mary Alice Trawick.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Trawick Harrell, sister Jolene Harrell Burkett and parents Tom and Elizabeth Harrell. He is survived by his son, John T Harrell (Trish), his two favorite grandchildren, John Tyler Harrell and Anna Morgan Harrell. Two nephews Mark Howell Burkett (Annette) and Robert Cheshire Trawick (Charity.)
Morgan is retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company of Dothan where he worked for 35 years. Morgan was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was involved in many different activities. He received much joy serving and helping others. He never met a stranger. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan, Al at 1 p.m. Visitation will precede the service at 11:30 in the Sanctuary.
