Jerry Ralph Malone

Funeral services will be at 2pm Friday, February 2, 2018, at Bellevue Baptist Church for Jerry Ralph Malone, 84, who passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. The Reverends Don Graham and Roger Graham will officiate. Burial will be at Kyuka Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Jerry was born and raised in Etowah County. He attended Gadsden High School and served in the United States Navy. He retired from Goodyear Year Tire and Rubber Company in 1995 after 45 years of employment. He was a faithful member of Bellevue Baptist Church for over 60 years and served the church in numerous capacities.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ola Lee and Troy Lee Malone; and his brother Ray Malone.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bettye Whisenant Malone; sons Tommy Ralph (Mayra) Malone, Steven Naylor (Lee) Malone; and daughter LeAnne (Steve) McDaniel; grandchildren, Leslie Wallace Carter (Rory), Lindsey Wallace (fiancé Paul Budd), Mary Margaret Malone (fiancé Corey Howell), Thomas Malone and Lindsey Naylor Malone; great-grandchildren, Levi, Liam, Rory, Lily and Chloe Carter.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart.

Jerry never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He was a true family man and enjoyed spending his time in Duck Springs at the family farm.

Pallbearers will be Vince and Steve Noblitt, Brandon Teague, Larry Minshew, Ralph Wilbanks, Cameron Horsley, Josh Brooks and Bill Mayo.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult 4 Men’s Sunday School Class.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018, from noon to 2pm prior to the service.
