Jane Dean Moore passed away peacefully on the 27th of May, 2024, in Spring, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born Jane Ellen Dean to Opal and Ivan Garnett Dean in Carrollton, Georgia, at 7:45 A.M. on the 3rd of February, 1945. A proud resident of Gadsden, Alabama, Jane graduated from Gadsden High School in 1963. She was an accomplished visual artist, recognized by her peers and teachers. Jane served on the Board of Directors at Dean Sausage Company in Attalla, Alabama, where she also worked for many years. An eager antique shopper, Jane frequently attended estate sales and had an exceptional eye for valuable pieces. She was an avid reader and a loving "mother" to her many furred and feathered companions.
Jane is preceded in death by her father, Ivan Dean; mother, Opal Dean; daughter, Leigh Anne Moon; and special friend, Mickey Guice.
She is survived by her daughters Laurie Wardlow, Meighan Moore, and Leslie Kimbril (Jason); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marsue Lancaster; and nephews, Dickson Miller and Hugh Barr Miller.
Pallbearers are Jason Kimbril, Andrew Kimbril, Scieler Stephenson, Timothy Wardlow, Kenley Bullard, and Jalynn Jones.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, 3:30 p.m. at Forrest Cemetery. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate.
