James "Ty" Tyler Runner

Born on April 14, 1982 in Gadsden, he was a 2000 graduate of Glencoe High School.

Growing up, Ty always had a mischievious twinkle in his beautiful eyes and was a little charmer. He endured several surgeries for his cleft lip and came through like a trooper. In his younger years and in high school, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Ty had a big heart and was a hard worker. He was deeply devoted to his friends and family.

Ty is preceded in death by Randolph Davidson, his Paw Paw, Dean Runner, his Maw Maw, and Robert Runner, his Pop, and has been reunited with them all in Heaven. Ty accepted Jesus at a young age and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

Ty is survived by his daughter, Addison Grace Runner, his mother Susan (Phillip) Silvey, his father Jim (Debbie) Runner, brother Nathan Runner and special Nana, Jane Davidson Zscheile; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Ty is now at peace. That means everything to our family. He will be deeply missed by all of us. We will always cherish the good memories and times that we spent together.

Ty’s family will receive family and friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Drew Laughlin officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Coats Bend.

Pallbearers will be Bo Darnell, Andy Darnell, Keith Mitchell, Adam Vann, Tyler Booker, and Zack Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Glencoe High School Class of 2000, Jesse Womack, Kenneth Laughlin, and T.R. Smith.
