Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday for Mr. Jackie “Jack” Ray Bradley, age 69, Gadsden, who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2010. The Rev. Rick Willis and Rev. Kevin Holman will officiate with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Bradley was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he served as Secretary of The Adult II and III Sunday School Department. He was a lifetime member of NRA and an avid fan of the Coosa Christian Athletic Department. Jack was known as a people person and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from The Education Center in Fort McClellan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Asa Bradley; and sister, Jean Singleton.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Cook Bradley of Gadsden; mother, Eugenia Bradley of Jacksonville, AR; daughters, Holly (John) Brown of Arlington, VA; Karen (Rodolfo) de la Riva of Gadsden; and Kathy (Lee) Johnson of Southside; grandchildren, Matthew (Rachelle) Brown of Chico, CA; Claire (Phillip) Forster of Seattle, WA; Tyler Willis of Gadsden; Chelsea de la Riva of Gadsden, Alexia de la Riva of Gadsden, Kaylee Johnson of Southside; and Daniel Brylee Johnson of Southside; great granddaughter, Ella Forster; brothers, Johnny (Debbie) Bradley of Jacksonville, AR and Jimmy (Beverly) Bradley of Cabot, AR; and also nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Wright, Eddie Wrenn, Jay Dowdy, Jim Holcomb, Isaac Landers and Gerald Chumley.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Adult II and III Sunday School Class at Bellevue Baptist Church, Dr. Tom Corley, Dr. Ralph Wesley, Dr. Bruce Head and Dr. Lianke Mu.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to The Argyle Hill Neighbors, Emergency Department at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and also to Gadsden Fire Department.
