Ian Brandon Taylor

Ian "Nigel" Taylor, 30, Glencoe, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Collier-Butler Chapel. The Rev. Gary Ussery and Pastor Johnny Johnson will officiate. Burial will be held at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Taylor was a member of Gadsden Christian Fellowship. He was a brick and block mason by trade, and loved seeing the "finished product." He was a very caring man, he loved to laugh and loved his family, but was very straightforward.

He loved the Lord, and we are comforted by knowing that he is now in the presence of his Heavenly Father.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Nell Hunter.

Survivors include: wife, Brenda Buchanan Taylor; stepdaughter, Erica Jones; grandchildren, Emma Buchanan and Samuel Jones; mother, Tammy Watson; stepfather, Eugene Minor; father, Todd Beard; sisters, Nicola Abernathy and Natasha Morgan; aunts, Kristie Ledbetter and Tracy Kilgore; uncle, James Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Wilson, James Taylor and Perry Vinson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
