Hunter Lee Howell, 19, of Gadsden, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2020, after a long and hard fought battle. A memorial service will be held at Collier-Butler Chapel on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 8:00p.m. Gary McCurdy will officiate the service. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Hunter had a smile that could light up any room. He had the ability to make anyone laugh and truly shared a love for others. Hunter was an honorary graduate of the Gaston High School class of 2020. He loved to fish, hunt, play video games, and watch the Auburn Tigers. In 19 years of life, Hunter made a very big impact on many people and will be missed dearly.
Hunter is preceded in death by his mother, Tonya B. Howell; and grandfather, Curtis B. Vinson.
He is survived by his grandmother, Linda Diann Vinson; brother, Bradley McCollum; aunts and uncles, Monica and Karl Waters, Joann Biggs, Johnny and James Vinson, April Dickson, and Nikki Wade; cousins, Justin and Shelby Waters; special friends, Gary McCurdy, Fran, Charles, and Kim Havaland.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Coosa Valley Health and Rehab, Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Birmingham, and the staff and students of Gaston High School
The family will accept friends from 6p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home until the hour of the service.
