Harold "Gene" Eugene Daugherty

Harold Eugene Daugherty, age 62, of Gadsden, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Bristow Cemetery in Collinsville, AL. Rev. Harold Daugherty and Rev. George Lankford officiating. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Eugene was a family man. He especially loved his mother who he shared a very special relationship with. Eugene led a simple life and found enjoyment from the little things in life. He loved his family with all of his heart, including his special canine, Bella. Mr. Daugherty served as a truck driver. He could be found on Saturdays cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide. His favorite past time was sitting around and reminiscing about old times with his friends. The past fifteen years has been hard for Eugene battling diabetes, but he fought every day and never gave up. Eugene will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Daugherty is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Daugherty; and special canine, Bella Daugherty.

Eugene is survived by his father, Harold Daugherty; brothers, Neal Daugherty and Matthew Daugherty; sisters, Deana Daugherty and Amy (Phil) Roberts; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Stephens, Dusty Dillard, Ryan Daugherty, Colton Daugherty, Cody Dowdy, and Phil Roberts.
