Gerald Franklin Little

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Gerald F. Little, 75, of Southside, who passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. Rev. Bud Swindle will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Little was a lifelong resident of Southside. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a loyal Alabama fan “Roll Tide” and a proud member of VFW Post 8600.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharley Little; son, Robbie Little; parents, Alma “Coot” and Lee Gray Little; and brother, Harold Little.

He is survived by his sister, Juanice (Jim) Ledbetter; son and daughter-in-law, CMSgt. Randy (USAF Ret.) and Susan Little; grandchildren, Kaitlin Little, and Parker Little; and sons, Cub Culberson and Blake Farmer.

Pallbearers will be: Blake Farmer, Rene Bull, Bill Burnett, Jim Abernathy, Mike Mitchell, and Andrew Bedwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and breakfast crew at Jack’s in Southside, where Gerald was a member of the ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) and members of VFW Post 8600.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 Wednesday prior to the service at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
