Obituary of Gail Shannon Rogers

Gail Shannon Rogers, of Gadsden, died Sunday, April 1, 2018. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Forrest Cemetery with The Reverend Carl Saxon officiating.

Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Handley Rogers Sr.; brother, Maurice Carberry Shannon Jr.; and sister, Jane Shannon Barron.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Joseph Handley Rogers Jr. (Judy); daughter, Shannon Rogers Beard; son, Nicholas Sewall Rogers (Jill); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Lisa Powell for her loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

A reception will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter following the service
