Finus Ray Green

Funeral services for Mr. Finus R. Green, 75, of Rainbow City, formerly of North Gadsden, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Collier-Butler Chapel. Bro. Keith Haney and Bro. Steve Simmons will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Green passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

Finus was a former employee of Whiting Corporation and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 22 years of service. He was a member of North Highland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Floyd and Florine Green; sister and brother-in-law, Nadine and Howard Williams; and parents-in-law, Walter and Dessie Betz.

Finus is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy Green; daughters, Lynn (Butch) McGlaughn and Carrie (Jay) Gamblin; granddaughter, Allison McGlaughn; brother, Raymond (Martha) Green; sister-in-law, Susan (Joe) Phillips; brother-in-law, Buster (Lane) Betz; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joey Phillips, Ty Phillips, Chris Phillips, Mike Bettis, Michael Green and Michael Rowland.

A special thank you from the family is extended to Gadsden Regional Medical Center Cancer Center and 7th floor staff, Amedysis Hospice, and Dr. K.J. Shah.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
