Fay L. Walker

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Fay L. Walker, 75, of Glencoe, who passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. Rev. Chris Walker will officiate. Entombment will be at Rainbow Memorial Mausoleum. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Walker was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a graduate and Homecoming Queen of Glencoe High School. She retired from Bellsouth after 32 years of service. Her hobbies included gardening, motorcycling, cooking and taking care of her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl C. and Christine W. Long.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Billy Jack Walker; step-son, Chris (Donna) Walker; step-daughter, Terry Lynn (Sonny) Conn; nieces, Kim (Robert) McKenny, and Deborah (Michael) Overby; nephews, Larry Don (Bridgett) Stephens, and Charles E. (Rosa) Stephens; sisters, Yvonne Stephens, and Norma Jean (Kevin) O’Connell; and a host of cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

The family will accept friends from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
