Evelyn Jewel Smith

Evelyn Jewel Smith, age 90, of Southside, Alabama went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 04, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Green Valley Baptist Church, 4150 Green Valley Road Southside, Alabama 35907. Bro. Harold Coe and Bro. Kenneth Bohannon will officiate. Burial will be follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Jewel was a Godly woman who loved Jesus and her family. She set an example for her son, daughter-in-love, her grandchildren and great grandchildren that will be with them all of their lives. She has touched so many lives. Jewel loved like Jesus. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met; to know her was to love her. Jewel was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Smith; grandchildren, April Smith and Ricky Smith, Jr.; parents, Walter and Kate Jenkins; siblings, J.W. Jenkins, Houston Jenkins, Nettie Jolly, Bonnie Ball, Wilma Bolton, Gilma Kerley and Emogene Yancy.

Jewel is survived by her son Ricky (Angela) Smith, Sr.; grandchildren, David Smith, Kandie Langley, Jason (Emily) Smith, Jacquelyn (Victor) Roach; great grandchildren, Dalton (Madison) Smith, Hope (Mason) Gore, Austin (Emily) Smith, Addison and Bailey Smith, Kynleigh and Kyla Noah, Zoe Langley, Lily, Baylor and Cambree Smith, Dawson, Isaiah, Sarah and Noah Roach; great-great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Remington, and Rawlins Smith, Dutton Gore, Ryland Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews; special niece, Reba Ray.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Smith, Mason Gore, Dawson Roach, Isaiah Roach, Austin Smith amd Baylor Smith.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Brooke Kellett , Misty and the rest of the staff at ACG Hospice.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, December 04, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
