Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Edna Faye Strawn, 84, of Gadsden who passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. Rev. James O. Wallace will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Strawn attended Etowah High School and was an avid bowler years ago. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended Higher Ground Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Strawn; brothers, Howell Blevins, Bobby Blevins and John Blevins, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Wanda Butler and Anita (Mackey) Hester; grandson, Blake Butler; great grandson, Clayton Butler and sister-in-law, Shirley Strawn.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends special thanks to the staff with Amedisys Hospice; Gadsden Health and Rehab Center; Dr. Debora Reiland and Dr. James Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
