Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy Mazell Day, 78, of Gadsden who passed away Friday, January 19, 2018. Rev. Stafford Rowser will officiate with burial to follow at Marshall Memory Gardens, Albertville, AL.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mazell grew up in Albertville and was a longtime resident of Gadsden. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Gadsden Printing Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. T. and Cleo Holbrooks and son, Daryl Lee Day.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Andrew J. Day, Jr., sons, James (Sherri) Day and Jonathan Day, grandchildren, Natasha Day and Nicholas (Melissa) Day, great grandchildren, Orrin, Morgan, Tyler and Taylor, brothers, Joe Fred Holbrooks and Denverd Holbrooks, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 am until the hour of service at the funeral home.
