Donald T. Hare

Mr. Donald T. Hare, 84, Rainbow City, AL went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 13, 2021. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Collier-Butler Chapel with Rev. Rodney Prickett officiating. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.

Mr. Hare attended Riddles Bend Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Hare was an avid runner participating in four marathons and was a member of the Gadsden Runners Club. He retired from the Goodyear Warehouse after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Pauline Hare.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Hare; daughters, Lisa Tucker, Attalla and Donna (Steve) McClendon, Gallant; grandson, Matthew McClendon; sisters, Alice (Rich) Olivo, California and Glenda (Lamar) Pruitt, Southside and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Hope Sunday School Class.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Lucy Hamby for your love and care.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riddles Bend Baptist Church, 5574 Riddles Bend Road, Rainbow City, AL 35906.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m.
