Dewey Steve Edmondson

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dewey Steve Edmondson, 56, of Albertville formerly of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Rev. Donald Cason will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Edmondson retired from Firestone Tire in Huntsville and had worked at Brad Ragan in Oneonta, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Maudia Edmondson and James and Claudia Brown.

Mr. Edmondson is survived by his daughter, Terri (James Hardin) Edmondson; grandsons, Wesley Edmondson and Trent Hardin; granddaughter, Ariel McTarsney; stepchildren, James Bearden, Tammy Bearden, and Joe Bearden; sister, JoAnn (Donnie) Williams; and brothers, Gary Brown, Dennis Brown, and William Brown.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Edmondson, James Hardin, Joe Bearden, Donald Williams, Gary Brown, Dennis Brown, and Jerry McTarsney.

Many thanks to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Room staff; HEMSI paramedics; Penny at Huntsville Hospital; and to Dr. John F. Keithan, Dr. Brian McGwier; Dr. Branada for their care in recent years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughter, Terri Edmondson.

The family will accept friends Sunday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
