Dennis Larkin Elliott

Dennis was born in Florence, Alabama. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines. Dennis retired from Goodyear after many years of service in several plants in the United States and Canada. He attended Southside United Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Jaycees, an avid fisherman, and antique car collector.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willodean Elliott; and his brother, Jimmy Elliott, Jr.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rita Elliott, whom he spent 25 wonderful years with; his brother, Perry Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Dennis will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Davis Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Sims, Barry Elliott, Randy Brown, Dawson Brown, Carson Brown, Mason Brown, Jon Elliott, Brenson Elliott, and Michael Elliott.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Otwell, Roger Musick, and Gary Yeager.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside United Methodist Church.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to caregivers, Selena Morton and Kaitlyn McMullin; and the Southside fire department.
