

Mr. Clyde M. Guyton, 99, Gadsden, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, April 25, 2025. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Bro. Matt Johnson will lead the service, and Mr. Guyton's oldest grandchild, Meleia Foster Chappell, will present the eulogy from the family. A private burial will be held at Rainbow Memorial Park on Monday. Collier-Butler Funeral Home & Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Guyton was a native of Cherokee County and a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was married to his wife, Nadine Johnson Guyton for 62 years before her passing. He was a member of James Memorial Baptist Church and the Plant Manager of Cleaners Hanger Company, Gadsden, for 59½ years. He enjoyed working on antique cars, woodworking, and tinkering with things in his garage. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his cat, Baby.
Mr. Guyton was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Johnson Guyton; his parents, Henry and Anise Guyton; brothers, Albert, Richard, and Robert; and sister, Lucille.
Survivors are his daughters, Clydean (Tony) Foster and Denise (Robert) Deschenes; grandchildren, Meleia Foster Chappell, Brandon (Karen) Casey, and April Casey Owens (Eric Davis); and great-grandchildren, Luke and Samuel Chappell, Griffin Owens, and Clyde Casey, great-great-grandson, Greyson Chappell.
