Christopher "Shane" McKinney

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Christopher “Shane” McKinney, age 39, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. McKinney was a graduate of Gadsden High School and attended Gadsden State Community College. He work for UPS for 15 Years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his father, James McKinney, Sr.; mother, Evelyn Williams; sister, Kathleen Williams; son Geontae Glass; grandparents, Aire and Christine McKinney, Johnny B. Williams and Eva Mae Baker Williamson.

He is survived by his children Kelis Aubri Ford, Krislin Jada Ford, Kenley LaShay Ford, and their mother, Emma Ford of Fort Payne, AL; sisters, Lesia Finister of Gadsden and Doreni Fleming of Birmingham; brothers, Tony McKinney and James McKinney, Jr. both of Gadsden, AL; Curtis (TaWanna) Morris of Smyrna, DE and Steve Boley (DC); nephews, Jaden (GA) Curtis Jr. (DE) KaMaree (AL) Keenum and Kaleb; nieces, DonQuesia, Jamyia, Eva (DE) and Krystal; uncles, Ocie, Sr. Darnell, Alan, Eugene, William K.; aunts, Bernice, Juanita, Mary, Emma, Doris, JoAnn, and Wendy; special brother, Trygeric McKinney; special sister, Tasha Branch; special uncle, Charles Jones; childhood friend, “Jullian Croft”; and a host of special cousins and special friends.
