Funeral services will be Thursday, January 5th, 2017, at 12:30 p.m., at Collier-Butler Chapel for Carolyn Sue Fowler, 74, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, January 2nd, 2017. Rev. Tim Holland will officiate. Burial will be at Noble Hill Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.
Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very proud of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very active in her community and will always be known as the life of the party wherever she was present. Sue had a big heart and was a joy to be around with her spunky personality. She enjoyed traveling whenever she got the chance, whether it be by cruise ship or on the road to a casino. She will be very missed by all who knew her.
Sue is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Hallmark; daughter, Tammy Wert; great granddaughter, Caroline Sykes; parents, Earl and Wessie Fowler; brothers, Lelton Pete Fowler, Jimmie Mack Fowler; sisters, Katherine Page, and Genine Holcomb.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Rodney) Hedgepeth, Michelle (Derik) Holder; grandchildren, Ashley (Bo) Sykes, Miranda Wert, Natalie Wert, Jeffrey Anderson, Melanie Anderson, Tyler Mayfield, Aria Holder; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin Fowler; sister, Betty Presley; very special sister in law, Charlotte Fowler; special friend, Ann Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Fuller, Earl Ray Fowler, Chris Presley, Jimmy Mack Fowler, and Derick Holder.
Tyler Mayfield will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
