Bill was born in Etowah County, Alabama and graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1980. He attended Auburn University and Jacksonville State University. He was employed in the commercial printing industry for over thirty years.
Mr. Isbell was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Isbell, Sr., and Edith Costello Isbell.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Marla Cranford Isbell and his lovely daughter, Macy Rae Isbell. He is also survived by his two sisters, Lisa Isbell (Dennis) Miller and Shannon Isbell (Donnie) Dye; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church in Chatsworth, Georgia. His pastor, Danny Cochran, will officiate a funeral service at 11:00AM on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Collier-Butler Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00PM. Bill will be laid to rest at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden, AL.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Cranford, Bryan Dean, Johnny Long, Dennis Miller, and Mike Robertson. Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Barnett.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Big Springs Village for their exceptional care and compassion for Bill. Also, thank you to Amedisys Home Health Care for their guidance and support during this difficult time.
