Graveside service will 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Crestwood Cemetery for Bobby Ray Nance, 71, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016. Rev. Ronnie Holmes will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Nance was a 1963 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an Etowah County Football Referee for 25 years and was the owner of Nance Upholstery.
Mr. Nance is survived by his wife, Patricia Fleming Nance; daughters, Stacy Hall (David Entrekin), Carly Miller (Paul), Mandi Nance (Thomas Ritch); grandchildren, Jamie Hall (Dylan Capes), and Bailee Hall; sister, Darlene Norris (Randy); brothers, Randy Nance and Ronnie Kilgore; and his beloved Dachshund “Bear”.
Honorary pallbearers are Pete Rary, Jerry Nance, Benny Archer, Ronnie Reed, Don Hopper, Mike Wofford, Terry Snow, Donnie McGriff, and Jimmy Griffith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
