Betty Jo Bradley Miller, 92, passed away January 26, 2021 in Birmingham, AL. Betty was born September 26, 1928 in Gadsden, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Carson Miller; parents, James Austin Bradley and Rox¬ie Bell Phillips; siblings, Ray Franklin Bradley, James Acton Bradley, Edith Hammond Bookhamer, Dorothy “Dot” Westmoreland and her special friend and neighbor Robert “Bob” Rollings, Jr. She is survived by her nephew David Bradley (Allison) and grand-nephew, Owen (Laura) Bradley and their daughter Elise. Betty resided 67 years in Gadsden, 18 years in Southside, AL and since 2014 at Brookdale University Park in Birmingham. Betty graduated from Emma Sansom High School where she was a majorette. After graduation, she modeled professionally and worked 30 years at Republic Steel as Executive Assistant for the Marketing Division. Betty was active in the Gadsden civic and social scene, serv¬ing in Gadsden’s Women’s Club, the Little Theater, Gadsden Garden Club, Gadsden Music Club and Gadsden Country Club. She enjoyed golf, tennis, bowling and world traveling. She was active in the First United Methodist Church of Gadsden where she taught Sunday School and fitness classes, active in the Wesleyan Circle and sang in the choir. A family graveside service was held on January 29, 2021 at Forrest Cemetery.
