Betty Joyce Davis Butler

Betty Joyce (Davis) Butler, age 96, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. Bro. Danny Kidd will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was raised in Asbury, Marshall County, and moved to Gadsden when she finished at Snead College. She met and married Joe Butler and became an excellent wife and mother. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Gadsden. Betty was truly a wonderful friend to many. She had many friends with whom she loved to share her favorite past time, shopping. Betty is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior with many dear family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Macon M. Davis and Eva Leigh (Johnston) Davis; husband, Joseph M. Butler; son, Gregory Neal Butler; and three brothers and one sister.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Deborah Honeycutt – Callaham; grandson, Thomas L. Honeycutt II; great grandson, Thomas L. Honeycutt III; and many nieces and nephews.
