

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Berlin Flowers, age 92, of Wellington, who passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Terry Lewis will officiate with burial to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Flowers was born on June 21, 1918 in DeKalb County and resided in Calhoun County for the past 50 years. She was a well known seamstress for 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cason Flowers; son, Jimmy Flowers; daughters-in-law, Charlotte and Diane Flowers; as well as eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy Flowers of Hokes Bluff and Phillip (Brenda) Flowers of Piedmont; daughter, Patricia (Ricky) Baker of Wellington; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and sister, Faye Erwin of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Dale Mayes, Phillip Bethune, Tommy Worthy, Chris Nation, Tate Heuer and Heath Austin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Flowers, J.R. Hendrix, Greg Erwin and Mike Woodard.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Websters Chapel Volunteer Fire Department Medics and also to Amedisys Hospice staff and Valerie Mayes who went above and beyond their duty to assist our mother.
A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
