Anna Maude Denney

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Anna Maude Denney, age 91 of Gadsden who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday-August 2, 2010. Revs. Phillip Ellen and Bruce Word will officiate with music provided by Butch and Pam Richardson and Debbie Henson. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Denney was a native of Dalton, Georgia and a longtime resident of Gadsden. She was a member of Crosspoint Community Church and the Mike Davis Sunday School Class. Mrs. Denney and her husband owned and operated Denny’s Automotive Paint and Supply Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. “Fred” Denney, parents, Arvil and Annie Mae Quarles, sisters, Julia Preston, Louise Harris, Lillian “Polly” McGuire, brothers, Ray, Roy and Clyde Quarles.

She is survived by her nephews: Patrick and Judy McGuire, Albertville, Mike and Cindy McGuire, Charlotte, NC and Dennis and Rachel Harris, TN and niece, Christine Anita Will, TN

Great nieces and great nephews: Karen Simmons, Gadsden, Heather Clowdus, Gadsden, David, Diane and Katie McGuire, Gadsden, J.D., Chelle and Nina Harris, all of TN and several great great nieces and great great nephews.

Sisters-in-law: Rachel Quarles, Sioux Falls, SD and Carolyn Boatman, TN

Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Brooks, Charles Cook, Mike Davis, Wayne East, David Garrett, Winton Henson, Paul Justice and Bobby Jack Roberts

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dewey Burger, Coy Davis, Blaine Galligher, Kent Hensley and Dr. John Wilborn.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Coosa Christian School.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home
