Allyson “Ally” Nicole Chapman, age 13, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3:30pm at Collier-Butler Chapel. Bro. Jeff Sauls will officiate. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery, Coats Bend. The family will accept friends prior to the service between the hours of 1:30pm until 3:30pm at the funeral home.
Ally was a lifelong resident of Etowah County, Alabama and was currently finishing her 7th grade year at Gaston School. Ally was a trumpeter in the Gaston High School Band and was a member of the Media Team. She loved her family and friends fiercely and had a smile that could light up any room. Ally was a collector of vinyl records, loved old school rock & roll music, and was an avid skateboarder. She was a brilliant young artist and enjoyed painting, sketching, and chalks. She enjoyed roller-skating, and keeping up with the current trends of makeup and hairstyles on TikTok. Ally won many gymnastic medals for floor, bar, and beams. She attended classes at Gadsden State Community College the last two summers studying in Crime Scene Investigation and First Aid. Ally loved to spend time with her friends and was a member of Sunday Funday with Mrs. Holley. Ally attended Cornerstone Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Phillip Wayne Chapman; great grandparents, Talmadge and Maezell Scott.
Ally is survived by her mother, Lynn Chapman; brother, Phillip Mason Chapman; birth parents, Phillip Scott Chapman and Tiffany Chapman; aunt Kristi (Steven) Leeth; grandmother, Linda Carter; great aunt, Cheryl (Rick) McDowell; uncles, Phillip Carter and David Carter. Numerous extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will the Coats Bend Fire Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gaston High School Band, 7th grade classmates, fellow students and faculty.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Etowah County Community for their love, support and prayers during this time.
