He was born on August 26, 1989 in Anchorage, AK to Tab Leach and Lisa Corbet. Talon is survived by his cherished wife, Sara (Sealey) Leach, his parents, mother-in-law Trish Sealey, step-mother Denise Leach, sisters Marcey Combs (husband Alan) and Cassea Gaman, brother Seth Corbet, grandparents Dr. James B and Sarah Ann Leach III DVM, seven nieces/nephews: Noah, Taylor, Lillyann, Asher and Judah Combs, Elyas Orf and Jaleya Gamon, companions Gnarbert and Fallujah (Talon and Sara’s beloved dogs), along with many wonderful friends.
Talon was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and one heck of a Marine. Talon loved his family and friends deeply. He lived life to the fullest while always giving of himself for the benefit of others. His humble character was known by all who knew and loved him. Talon loved his job as it provided him a way to jump out of planes, train on a variety of weapons, meet like-minded individuals and see the world. Talon will always be remembered as a strong, caring, brilliant, down to earth, fun to be around and yet serious when required, and always a gentleman. He will forever be missed by his family, friends and community.
Sgt. Talon R. Leach served in the US Marine Corps from 01/10/2010 until his passing. He is a member of the 2nd Raider Battalion, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC). Sargent Leach deployed in December 2015 to July 2016 as part of Operation Inherent Resolve. His awards and decorations with (# of each award): Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2); Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation; Certificate of Appreciation (3)
Funeral services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at North Callaway High School, 2690 US 54, Kingdom City, Missouri on Sunday, August 20th, 4:00 pm.
The community is invited to stand in honor along the processional route of Business 54 North traveling South, at the conclusion of the Memorial Service approximately 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
